The Friends of the Linwood Library along with the Linwood Public Library will be hosting our annual Gingerbread House Workshops on Thursday, December 4th at 1:30 PM, Friday, December 12th at 3:30 PM, Monday, December 15th at 6:00 PM, and Sunday, December 21st at 1:00 PM. We build the houses and you do the decorating. Each gingerbread house costs $35 and a $10 deposit is required at the time of registration. Our annual Holiday Tea is on Friday, December 19th, 3:00-5:00 PM and is always a special seasonal event. Bring your favorite tea cup and share a family memory. Exotic and traditional teas will be served. Registration is required and limited space is available so call us at (609)926-7991 ext. 3 to sign up. If you would like to prepare a family favorite food please inquire at time of registration.
The library is participating in the nationwide movement following Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Tuesday, December 2nd is Giving Tuesday. The library is offering amnesty for your fines if you bring in canned or nonperishable food items for our Food Bank collection now thru December 16th. When you come in, bring your donations to the circulation desk along with your overdue items and we will waive your fines. Don’t have any overdue items but have some old fines pending? We will delete those too! All donations are welcome even if you don’t have fines or overdue items!
Children of all ages, join us on Sunday, December 14th at 1:00 PM for holiday crafts from around the world. Explore traditions from other countries and learn about how children around the world celebrate this special season. Registration is required so please call (609)926-7991 ext. 3 to sign up.
