History
The Linwood Public Library adopted its Bill of Rights June 18,1948. It has been in its current location in the old Crestlea Park School since 1988. Previously it was located on Poplar Avenue in the Historical Society Building.
A seven member Board of Trustees governs the Library. There is a president, secretary, treasurer, mayor or mayor's representative, school superintendent and three citizens of Linwood. They represent the citizens and oversee the libraries long and short-term goals.
The library operates under the State of NJ Library Procedure Manual. The bylaws by which the library is run are updated
on a regular basis to comply with the state laws. The Board of Trustees of the Library tries to represent the needs and wishes of the Linwood community. The residents of Linwood are the primary priority to be served with its collection,
technology, programs, facilities and community outreach.
