The Linwood Public Library has established this policy to provide for cell phone use while supporting an environment which promotes reading, library activities, and quiet study. We understand that people are dependent on cell phones to stay connected. Your cooperation is needed to establish a conducive library atmosphere.

1. Cell phone usage is discouraged in the library.
2. Upon entering the library, please remember to either silence your cell phone, place it on the lowest volume setting, or a non-noise setting.
3. Respect those who are here for studying, quiet time, or collaboration.
4. Text messaging is an option rather than a phone conversation.
5. If a conversation is necessary, please keep it short. If a phone call is needed, please do so in the lower level hallway. Tables and chairs are available outside the staff kitchen.
6. If a lengthy conversation or business call is necessary, please make your phone call outside.
