Library Card & Loan Policy

Library cards are free for all Atlantic County residents and residents of Ocean City and Avalon (COIL members).  Two proofs of residency are required (for example, a current NJ DMV driver’s license, a recent utility bill, voter registration card, copy of a tax bill, or a one year lease). Post Office Boxes are not acceptable addresses. The required identification presented must be in your name, must be current, and must have the same address that you indicate on your application. A post office box number is not an acceptable address. All other New Jersey residents are charged a one time only fee of $10.00 for library cards. Cards will not be issued out of state.
